  1. Review - FreeFileSync

    5.6 (Dec 3, 2012)

This would and should be one of the best folder synchronization utilities available with one exception: There is no way to set a 'default' set of folders for the application to open up to. Instead, it opens to whatever two folders were last used. It stands to reason that a Sync Utility would either allow the user to choose the default folders, or at the very least open to the top level of folders on the two drives - e.g., C: and D:. In past versions at least the user could set the GlobalSettings, xml file to Read Only to get around this issue, but that is no longer possible.

  2. Review - TjSplit

    0.1 (Feb 25, 2012)

Any file splitter that does not create a self-joining executable is almost worthless.

  3. Review - Windows 7 Manager (32-bit)

    3.0.1 (Feb 17, 2012)

This tweaking utility is absolutely fantastic. I have used it for several years and it allows you to optinize, clean and customize your system better than any other utility I have found. You can go back to default settings any time you wish. It also has a registry backup program that has saved me several times when I accidentally deleted critical settings from my registry. Give it a try. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

  4. Review - Registry Mechanic

    8.0.0.907 (Sep 23, 2009)

This app has one serious flaw. When you click the 'X' to close it, IT DOESN'T CLOSE ! Instead, it minimizes to your tray and you have to take extra step to right click on the tray icon and once again click on CLOSE. I don't know about the rest of you, but when I click an 'X', I expect the app to CLOSE ! Other than that, it will find and fix many registry errors. Not all, by a long shot, but used in combination wiith other registry cleaners, it can prove to be useful. Low rating is ONLY because of the closure issue . . .

  5. Review - Hide Folders 2012

    3.2 Beta (Aug 25, 2009)

I have tried many different utilities for hiding sensitive information, but this is the best of all that I have seen. There is nothing about this software that I would change. Try it - you'll like it !
