18.104.22.168 (Feb 12, 2006)
From all tested apps Azureus is the one that fits my needs best.
* Best NAT support (not just a wrapper on MS implementation, which is quite buggy and often ceases to function)
* Features and Plugins - I actually use them a lot.
* Speed - I got the overall fasted downloads with Azureus so far. I even compared some torrents with different clients to get a more appropriate result.
I have no problem with the memory "bloat". My currently running (for about 17h) instance takes 153MB (because I configzured a high disk cache).
That seems to be a lot. But I got a good sys, and still got enough memory for all other apps. I furthermore didn't but the RAM into my machine to see no app is actually using it.
CPU usage is next to nothing. Consuming CPU time of 3mins in 17h of runtime isn't that much.
Its a matter of needs after all.
If you want a feature-rich, highly extensible application you may want to give Azureus a try.
If you want basic functionalities and good performance even on low-end systems you may stick to utorrent.
Azureus fits my needs, thus I'll stick to it and welcome this new, well-done release.
