Microsoft has had the advantage in the computer industry since it started. Its products are easy to use, and easy for new users to learn. Imagine all the governments Window's based machines running Unix, now picture all the government employee's throwing their computers out the closest window. For now, the Windows line of products are the most user friendly. It setups up everything for you for the most part. Until the Unix line of OS's can do this Windows will continue to dominate the industry. If Microsoft is forced to break into different divisions, I think our economy will suffer. People are all the time complaining about the unstableness of Windows 98. I run it on my pc and have no problems at all, I often have two or three browser windows open, two irc clients, and various other things and its very stable. People complain about Microsoft products every day, but how many of these people that are complaining running a Microsoft product while they are doing this. The fact is if it wasn't because of Microsoft, the computer industry would not be where its at today.
