Review - VirtualDub (32-bit)1.4.5 (Sep 28, 2001)
This is my primary app for video. This combined with the Angel Potion DiVX High motion codec and the radium mp3 codecs can give you 5+ hours of decent 425 KBS quality video in under 2 gigabytes of storage. Properly compressed, you can get 3 hours of video in 650Mb !!! I do it everynight for the Tech-TV video feed for viewing at work the next day. In addition to capture, I use it to compress audio and edit my ripped DVDs in DiVX. I have run into some stability problems that require a reboot of the system sometimes but it is well worth it. Takes some time to learn also.
