Plex is a powerful media-sharing and streaming server solution that works across your local network and the wider internet too. Plex bridges the gap between your computer and your home theater, doing so with a visually appealing user interface that provides instant access to your media. It can play a wide range of video, audio and photo formats without having to install any third party video plugins and can stream online audio and video content served by Plex Media Server.

Giving it a 3 (neutral). No live TV - or at least nothing that is easy enough to setup and works well with a TV guide and that can use with any TV tuner hooked up to your PC. Do that and I'd give it 5 stars easy. For now I'm using Emby Server and it's WMC plugin for live TV and all works great.

Been using this for years as my media server for the house. Then use either Roku or chromecast for receiving it. Works perfect.

Genius, if I had known how good the Windows client was I might not have bothered even installing XBMC. However, now that I am on Linux, this server needs a Linux client ASAP. The web app is nice but not a viable long term solution for Linux clients.

wrote a review based on my prior experience of this. Not the most current, so it wasn't a fair review.
Downloading and installed NEW version now, so try and give a more reasonable review.
(I would have simply deleted my post, but there isn't an option for that!)
