CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) is a filter pack specifically built for playing anime. It has been assembled by some of the most knowledgeable people in the anime world, and one of the primary design goals is to play as much possible with as little as possible. It attempts to be as unintrusive on your system as possible.

I tried this pack after getting tired of how many extras the VistaCodecPack installs. It had a few gliches with settings, but that turned out to be how the HomeCinema edition of MediaPlayerClassic was setup. Once I solved that problem, it works just fine. It plays a ogm file and others without problem. So why not give it a 5?
Well, the file association part of its wizard won't work and some of the setting choices seem a bit vague.

Very good codec pack. Was more stable on my PC than K-lite codec pack.

The finest codec pack. Minimalist and clean. Updated regularly.
Installer is as finely crafted (and hilarious) as any.

i noticed cccp uses an older version media player home cinema to the k-lite pack. Some videos I have were missing subtitles, Playing HD/Blu Ray h264 files causes it to stutter

Best codec pack out there. You simply cannot go wrong with this one. Avoid all those other so-called codec packs that are pure junk.
catchpole, this has nothing to do with anime! It's a codec pack stupid!
