Publisher's Description

ESET SysInspector is a free, state-of-the-art diagnostic tool for Windows based systems. It examines your operating system and captures details such as running processes, registry content, startup items and network connections.

Once a snapshot of the system is created, ESET SysInspector applies heuristics to assign a risk level for each object logged. Its intuitive graphical user interface enables the user to easily slice through the large volume of data by using a slider to select objects of a particular color coded risk level for closer examination. ESET SysInspector is a convenient utility for the tool box of every IT expert and first responder.

Guys... Guys... Guys...!!
Only one review in the last 5 years.?? Maybe the WriteUp is letting
this tool Down.!! This App is portable & You should have a copy on
a Flash. If yourself or a pal has a "Goosed" system but you can get
to the Desktop, this tool is Essential to track down ANY bogey on
Board & remove it.

Download a copy. Launch it. In No time at all it will scan drive C:\
You then need to move the slider (If you wish) to a setting you're
comfortable with. Practise makes perfect. NEXT: open the HelpFile.
And search for "Service Script". It explains how to delete Bogeys
Using a plus(+) sign in the script.

If you're new to Computers, then this is an Easy app to learn with.
Use with care & you will be glad you gave it a chance... ^_^

I've still got my first copy (8 yrs old) ... Without a doubt.. 5*

It's like HiJackThis for dummies. I think it's a wonderful tool and have been using it for months. I hope they keep up the updates and keep it a well developed app.

The Idea is good, but it still needs some options. It shows Startup Folder options for instance. If I click on one, there should be an option or "Remove / Delete" the entry.

It's in BETA so maybe it's a Wish List item. I use their System Security 3.0 and it blows away the other Firewall / Antivirus programs on such a small footprint (http://fileforum.betanew...t_Security/1175818695/1)

This excellent utility first came out in November 2007 when it was announced in the Eset Support Forum (http://www.wilderssecuri...showthread.php?t=192812).

They don't seem to have updated it since then judging by the download page (http://www.eset.eu/download/beta).

nice lil detail on stuff good to track spy ware and stuff.

To the apple fanboy the reson apple don't have viruses yet it's because not enough people use it so the hackers don't bother . If it were ever to get as popular as windows you can bet your sweet candy azz
viruses will be right around the corner....

well i prefer to think differentLY, but if steve jobs told you to spell it incorrectly i guess you should just roll with it like the rest of your mac buddies (8% of the computer market).

from what ive seen so far, sysinspector seems very informative...similar to merijn's "startuplist". still needs work, but i like the idea of the program.

oh, and as for macs being more secure:

Time to think for yourself!!
Try your crapple snobbery somewhere else.
http://www.techworld.com...s/index.cfm?newsid=1798

and where in your review do you even address this program!!!!

You go have fun with your shiny overpriced apple products and their internal batteries that you need to send to them to replace

This is an ok little tool to see whats going on with your system and the scan time is ok but I prefer autoruns

Wow, is this really necessary to run Windows safely? Why go thru this crap when you can just switch to a Mac which is FAAAAAARRRRRRR superior anyway and be done with security issues once and for all. You won't have to worry about sneaky processes running in the background, stealing your info.

Time to think different guys.

Pretty interface, provides a lot of information that can be filtered according to the "risk level". The "investigation of the system" takes several minutes.
