Freeciv is a free turn-based multiplayer strategy game, in which each player becomes the leader of a civilization, fighting to obtain the ultimate goal - to become the greatest civilization. Players of the Civilization series by Microprose should feel at home, since one aim is to have optional modes (called rulesets) with compatible rules.

    hard to play at first..... needs better instructions on what the diffrent people can do (workers, etc
    but overall a good game to waste a couple of hours on :)

    Great game, I play this almost as much as many of my retail games. I would probably play it more though if some of my friends played it too.
