Hmmm - publisher Hackenberg - wont' install has error. Passed AV and worm check. No home page. hmmm.
As much as I would like to have a lightweight, non-IE browser, this ain't it, yet.

The IE core will always be vulnerable, as evident by the many updates made regularly to Maxthon.
Sometimes starting from scratch is the best way to go. I like the interface on this.

With Maxthon, Avant and other IE based browsers around, what´s the point?

It's a start I guess, it does work. Its just another browser based on IE though. Will have to watch the progress of this one.

may as well use the ie core if it requires .net framework

This browser shows promise but still seems like an alpha version. Loads pages fast, but has some small rendering issues. It is not built on top of Internet Explorer, but is it's own browser. Requires .NET 2 to be installed. Maybe one day it will be able to compete with Opera or Firefox.
