Gmail Notifier alerts the users of new email messages. Users can also read emails, delete or mark them as read, all without having to open a browser. It supports multiple accounts, and it uses IMAP over SSL.

The application's homepage http://www.gmailnotifier.com/ opened a phishing site called http://www1 dot safeconnection31 dot co dot cc which diagnosed my computer as being infested by at least half a dozen worms.
What is this, a joke ?

Good idea. TERRIBLE realisation. One example: I have GN automatically start up with my windows. BUT if there is no internet connection (which is almost ALWAYS the case, since windows needs a bit of time to establish it) the program 1) shows an error message 2) closes up after you press OK on this message. What kind of idiot came up with that?

The program works very well. But I had to uninstall it because it does not give you any options regarding disabling saving the password for your account. I emailed to author about this and he did not indicate that this feature would be included anytime soon. Once this security issues is fixed I would use it again.

Still needs some work but overall I think the creator will try to make this a great product. Contact him, he will explain his work

Nice upgrade to the original gmail notifier, two things I'd like to see, WHY does the ICON flash like 2-3 minutes after I open an account to check gmail?
I'd like the notifier to check for NEW email like every 15 to 30 seconds to see the flashing icon for like 3 minutes with no new email after I have read all emails is CRAZY!
I have some original WAV notifications is there a way to preserve those WAV's during the install? That would be a nice feature, just an idea!
