HDDlife is a real-time hard drive monitoring utility with alerts, malfunction protection and data loss prevention functions. This hard drive inspector is an advanced proactive hard drive failure detection system which controls all of your hard drive risks. It uses S.M.A.R.T. technology and works both for single PCs and large computer networks.

HDDlife for Notebooks is the first product that takes into account all the peculiarities of the work of a portable computer. In notebooks, hard disks are in absolutely different conditions if compared with desktop computers. They suffer from constant shaking, strokes, vibration and higher temperature overheat. That is why any program designed for standard (dektop) conditions will consider the condition of the disk alarming and give you incorrect information.

Fifty bucks is a dealbreaker. Make it freeware.

From where do people get these absurd prices they charge for inconsequential shareware? Fifty bucks for this little thing?!

(Hmmm...I guess they are trying to make Microsoft's unduly expensive products look dirt cheap. Yep, must be a M$ conspiracy.)
