Stinger has lost its utility these days. It's rare to find a PC these days that's infected with Mytob, Nimda, etc, while the most popular (virulent) ones these days, like VirtuMonde and Autoruns/Virut series which can be a pain to remove, aren't detected. It makes no sense to use Stinger, especially considering the fact that it can only remove a limited amount of malware; meaning which you'd need to know beforehand what malware is present in the system. Finally, you'd be better off using McAfee's own SuperDAT-based standalone scanner, or if you want a GUI program, you can get Kaspersky's full-fledged removal tool.
