Kylde - you're an idiot for not upgrading to SP2.

As for the tool - it's simple but effective. All of this is elsewhere in the system - but it puts a nice little collection together for you in one place.

i am not sure what everyone is complaining about once your sys is validated the first time it is one extra button click to download. Is that considered a "lengthy process"? I am not sure but that is not long nor complicated at least not for me. But it human nature for people to complain. IMHO

The PC Rat ain't part of the Anti-Microsoft Mujahedeen, but he resents a somewhat complicated and lengthy 'validation process' before being able to download this update.

Can understand their wanting to protect their product from all the thieving twerps out there. But, surely, there must be an easier way (for paying customers) to obtain updates from Microsoft.

Agreed, people should at least TRY the thing before giving a review.

This update adds a new tab at the end of the System Configuration Utilities window (msconfig).
The tab is called: Tools. It contains a list of shortcuts to 13 different fuctions, such as:
Event Viewer, Internet Options, Network, Regedit, System Restore, Task Manager and more.

Why are you folks b****ing because of a definite upgrade to an MS utility ?

As for the guy who asked about why you couldn't just type in Msconfig... this is NOT the same, it's ADDED to msconfig's window, eh?
Besides, a *true* geek would have a shortcut to Msconfig somewhere quick....;) (Type once, click forever more)
