Pico-Currency is a currency converter utility that can convert between most world currencies. It downloads the latest conversion rates as needed, and can then be used offline, using the downloaded data. You can set a custom domestic currency, and also save frequently used currency pairs. It extracts the latest currency exchange rate from Yahoo! Finance.

Does this work for anybody anymore? It used to work fine for me, but now I can't get it to work on Wkn95, Win2K, or WinXP. All attempts to use it result in error message encouraging me to report the problem to Microsoft. I'm thinking maybe the developer isn't maintaining the "update" database anymore.

MS Calc Plus can only update a limited set of currencies from the net, other values have to be typed in which render it kind of useless for a serious application.

Nice, no installer. Has about twice as many currencies as mioplanet's free ap. To say you do not need an internet connect is stupid. The whole reason for an exchange rate is because they change so often. Otherwise you could memorize them, and they would be common knowledge

very nice simple tool
it's true that nowadays, you have the internet to do the convertion but not internet is not everywhere yet, so it's quite handy to have a software that have all the currency store in the program
