SWiSH Max has everything you need to create stunning fully interactive Flash animations. You can create shapes, text, buttons, sprites, and motion paths. You can also include more than 230 ready-to-use animated effects including explode, vortex, 3D spin, and wave. You can create your own effects or make an interactive movie by adding actions to objects. A scripting language allows you to program sophisticated operations into your animations. You can preview your animation without launching a browser or external player, and live editing lets you make changes while the animation is playing. It creates all the files you need to upload to your Web server, or you can generate the HTML code to paste into an existing Web page.

Reviewing 2.0 Build 2008.08.12 (Aug 18, 2008)
Thought I'd update my review!
SWiSHMax v2 is absolutely amazing. I want people to understand that this is a fully featured development environment that is capable of producing anything that flash can. The only limitations are that .fla files are not supported and neither are flash components. If you are a developer comfortable at building things from the ground up, I feel that Swishmax2 is faster, more logically constructed, and easier to work with than Flash.
Do note - ActionScript is fully supported in SWiSHMax1 and 2. You -can- use the same features that are found in flash.
My only thumbs down is the price tag. One of the things that set Swish apart from Adobe is that it was dirt cheap. At $150 for the full version of v2 and $80 for the crippled version, it's a hefty price for the 'alternative' software. I would have thought that keeping the price under $100 would be more profitable and more easily attract users to the application.
Reviewing 1.0 Build 2008.03.28 (Apr 10, 2008)
When I ever need to create a Flash animation, it's a no brainer: I use SWiSH Max, full stop. It's a simple, light, to the point package, which I find much easier to use than the Adobe product. Yet it offers all the power you might need, including scripting.
A well done package altogether that I recommend.

Reviewing 1.0 Pre-Release Build 2005.08.15 (Aug 16, 2005)
This program has earned its 5. There is still a learning curve degree to go with it, but it's still nothing like the curve that's on Macromedia's. Smaller, lighter, easier to learn, and seemingly just as powerful... Still quite a bit more advanced than its earlier days, but worth it. My 3, has been upped to a 5
Reviewing 1.0 Pre-Release Build 2005.05.05 (May 10, 2005)
I totally agreed with EdenAdore. I've used all of their applications and I find Swishmax is by far the best animations and text enhancement. It's versatile. It's excellent for web projects and/or presentations. Swishmax worth every penny. On v1.0 built I wish they would list any new features, bug fixed and/or improvements. Other then that it's running quite well so far.
