Torrent Harvester is a search program for any type of file contained on a web page. It is not limited to searching for Torrents and can search for any type of file given the proper Engine file. It was developed with flexibility in mind. There is nothing hard-coded for a particular web-page, all Engine information is stored in user-modifiable XML files or through the included Engine Designer. This makes it possible for users to add Engines for their own favourite Torrent sites, or indeed any sites which list information.

    - Since the previous release, many engines no longer work due to the fact that the sites they are based have been either redesigned, or no longer exist. I won't list all the new, removed, or modified engines. A complete list of engines release with this v

    - Moved website to http://TorrentHarvester.awardspace.com and created a new support forum at http://THForum.awardspace.com

    - Created a Main Menu to allow for all the new options

    - Removed engines from settings and added to main screen via a toggle button "status". Engines can now be selected/deselected from here. This screen now also serves as a progress/status screen which will show the progress of any currently running engines

    - Added a more descriptive status message in the status bar when searching

    - Added "field type" to Engine Designer, thus removing the need to specifically set a field type when adding new columns in settings to the search list. This will however mean a possible conflict with two engines having the same field name but of differen

The program is excellent, and well designed. According to the author, there has been some issues with site hosting, and he was evicted from his previous site (that which is linked to in the current version 0.7b). If you are looking for the current official website, it is located at: http://www.torrent-harvester.com

I'm hopeful that the author can continue his work on the project, and release an update to the software soon, so that it at least reflects the site change, so others don't think that the program has been abandoned...

Now that we have a link to the official site, perhaps he can get some donations to help off-set the costs associate with the time it takes to write such a great piece of software...

Great piece of software!! Simple, works.
It's not too obvious from the description, but you'll need .NET to make this work. So, if you're having problems, that's your culprit.

I, too, have the 'flashing window' thingy. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon.

(C'mon developers! Where are the updates?)

All you gotta do is right-click in the result window to download.

    [EDIT]
The TorrentHarvester website is no longer up, so I think this is officially a 'dead project'.
    Damn shame.

I love this piece of software, it searches trough all torrent pages and helps you find the torrents with most seeds (which means greater speed when downloading). It's true that it got some display problems on Windows Vista, but I can live with that.

I don't like this, but not because it's not a good piece of software, but because it doesn't download or display the files...it just tells you how many results were on a specific website, which I can do myself because most of the sites that are listed are no good and give false positive on any result because they have horrible search engines. so I'll just stick to "isohunt, and mininova" and you'll be better off...or get TadTV....
