Xfire is the instant messenger for gamers. See when your friends are playing online games; See what game they are playing; See where they are playing; and join their game with just one click. Plus, unlike existing Instant Messengers, this one lets you receive IM's without disrupting your game.
- Many improvements and bug fixes for AIM users
- Added the AIM icon in the friends list when you have AIM friends
- Added support for the Russian language
- Fixed several performance issues during long-term voice chats
- Added the ability to create clans that have unlimited membership. Members do not show up on each others' friend lists, but can use the forums, clan news, and event calendars. These clans do not count against the limit of 5 clans you can join
- Improved voice chat one-to-one behavior when both users hang up simultaneously
Reviewing 1.96 (Aug 12, 2008)
Though I would have given XFire (nicknamed XFkr) a 2 several months ago, it has seemed to become much more stable within the last few updates. I applaud the dev team for their continued support and patch releases. With each release making XFkr more stable and more usable!
An excellent download choice!

Reviewing 1.90 Beta (Apr 10, 2008)
X-fire is amazing.
Allows me to talk to my friends while I'm playing games and it doesn't slow anything down.
I highly recommend this for any PC gamers!
Reviewing 1.90 Beta (Apr 8, 2008)
Seems stable so far. Simple, functional, while not being bloated. Most of the features in Xfire would be used by the average gamer at some point or another. I've been using Xfire for a few years now, but ONLY with the Xfire Light skin.
Xfire has caused me some problems in the past in certain games, but overall they fix the problems quickly.
