10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) (Oct 14, 2010)
What can I say? I've been running Ubuntu as my only home operating system for the last five years and the 10.10 release continues to work extremely well for me.
Keep up the good work, Canonical!

cowgaR has multiple entries on this page going back *years*, with equally vapid comments. I now only log onto this site about once every six months, although I used to be a frequent user of this site in the past, and I can't believe he's *still* here.
He's just a troll, and presumably has no life whatsoever. He's also forgotten the rule that you end up defining yourself by what you hate. Linux is clearly very important to him. :-)
1.2.0 RC5 (Dec 26, 2009)
I use this on Ubuntu - very nice little client.
Works just as I like it.
Keep up the good work.
1.0.0 (Jul 12, 2009)
Since the last few versions a lot of the long standing issues, like the GUI and moving the time slider have been improved drastically. Still a few quirks, but it looks like these will be gone soon too.
9.10 (Karmic Koala) Alpha 1 (May 14, 2009)
I've been using Ubuntu since 6.06, and it continues to go from strength to strength. Highly recommended!

The sales guy on the till says "Sir, don't forget your free browser CD", pointing at the large box of CDs on the counter.

I'm a big Ubuntu fan, but there's no way you can get that much performance out of any OS with only 2% battery life remaining.
At the risk of sounding like Scotty, "there just isnae the power!"
I think the battery was misreporting it's charge level from the sound of it.
That aside, this looks like a nice little OS to run on a netbook. I will continue to monitor it's performance in the future.

I'm fairly certain that full game downloads have existed for many years now.

Microsoft frequently use their monopoly in one area to leverage a potential monopoly in another area.
IE is a perfect example of this. There is no reason for the browser to be so tightly integrated into the OS.

"Microsoft has not been able to gain much traction at all, with its market share still remaining in the single digits."
Out of interest, how many countries do they sell the Zune in? Is it just the US?
What language support does it have?
