For a while I recommended Avant to my friends. Since Microsoft is sucking with security holes, and Avant was slow to fix bugs (like pages not loading and stalling the browser) it was time to change. I was told about Firefox and I have to say, I'm impressed. I was used to Avant, and the transition was easy as most of the options were the same (with certain extensions). Add more customizability and this would be a 5.

I was happy for it for a while, but I ran Weatherbug at the same time. They were both doing different temperatures (off by a degree F), but that's alright. The problem I had was the resources both were using. Weatherbug maxed at 8mb, currently running at 4mb while Weather Pulse maxed at 25mb, currently running at 14mb. For a program that displays simple number in the taskbar, I'd prefer the less eye-pleasing Weatherbug over the resource-eating Weather Pulse.
I realize that both do more than tell the temperature, but I simply need the number so I can decide how to dress or if it's a good day to go swimming, while being lazy and not moving.
