Publisher's Description
Soluto allows you to understand your boot, discover which applications are slowing it down (and keep running later in the background, affecting your ongoing experience), and allows you to significantly improve it. While Soluto Beta focuses on the boot, it already researches for frustrations and helps map the PC Genome, allowing you to share your wisdom with others.

Brilliant little App that I think should be installed on all newbies machines. The ONLY criticism I have is that it should include a DO NOT REMOVE list to stop it removing certain apps from start-up, but apart from that this program is brilliant

Rubbish - complete 'charah'. Had to use the old fashioned way(s) to fix my booting. This gives Israeli programmers a bad name.

Ugly, worthless & counterproductive.
It'll probably take less startup time loading 400 malwares than this thing.

Another tool for those who need to be hand-held, but this one went extreme with all the eye candy.

I've come to the conclusion that installing a persistent program in the startup menu like Soluto to shorten bootup times is a little like whack-a-mole because Soluto itself adds 2 or 3 seconds to the boot process. The sure fire ways to reduce boot times are:
1. Install a solid state drive
2. Disable unneeded Windows services http://www.blackviper.com
3. Manually remove unneeded startup programs using Microsoft's own msconfig utility.
4. Uninstall unneeded fonts
5. Regularly defragment non-SSD drives

There's no other program on the planet that can make your system boot faster. Soluto can make a Windows PC's cold boot take less time than waking a Macbook up from suspend to RAM.

I preferred version 1.1.1479.0. The new version appears to have been dumbed down to exclude services and some other startup programs, apparently in response to the users who can't figure out whcih startup programs they really shouldnt' be messing with without bricking their OS.
The previous versious found lots of start up apps that did not show up in competing startup managers (like printer drivers and browser addons that slowed Windows startup). I was able to cut my startup time 13 seconds. With this new version fewer startup apps are displayed for tweaking. However, the new "puzzle" pieces slection grid is an improvement over the previous "gradient scale" which made ti too easy for novices to accidentally remove or delay the wrong program. If they continue to simplify the interface but bring back the granularity, this could be a great program.

Wondering if it will have issues with Pro Lasso. Trying it anyway. Looks good from the intelligent reviews for a change.
P.S. :- Very good. It needs time to learn though.

4 PCs (1 XP, 1 Vista, 2 Windows 7). Not a problem with any.

"Anyone who says otherwise either doesn't know what they're doing or is lying."
Say that again to the dozens of people who reported on the support forum that Soluto completely bricked their OS -- most topics haven't even been resolved after six months. Either YOU don't know what you're talking about, or you're a business angel who has specific interest in the program.
Mr Swiffer reviewed v1.1.1445.0 Beta on Mar 22, 2011
This program is extremely easy to use. It's very, very rare that this program bricks PC's. Anyone who says otherwise either doesn't know what they're doing or is lying. All you have to do is remove all of the "obvious" entries from the boot sequence with Soluto and leave the "maybe" and "dangerous" entries alone. This will never, ever brick a PC because Soluto has never made any serious mistakes in its classification of boot time programs.
@Ryusennin - I have no connection with the company. I have personally used Soluto on many different computers and have had no problems whatsoever. Soluto specifically tell you what is safe to remove from your boot process. It gives you a very, very detailed description of safe to remove boot time software. If a program isn't recognized by Soluto it isn't listed as being 100% safe to remove. If people are ignoring what I've said in the previous sentence and removing those unknown programs from the boot process anyways then it's user error.

it broke my computer
had to re-format
Ryusennin reviewed v1.1.1369.0 Beta on Feb 26, 2011
Steve, don't assume all users are dumba**es.
Whether Soluto can optimize your boot time or not is irrelevant here. Soluto is an extremely dangerous program which has irrevocably broken many systems because of the hackish way it modifies the boot sequence. After installing it (or even uninstalling it), users are stuck in an infinite logon/logoff loop which can NOT be bypassed, not by the safe mode nor through the recovery console. The OS is definitely hosed.
The only positive point I can give to Soluto is that, after a month of trying to resurrect my XP partition, I ultimately made the switch to a fresh Win7 install.
SteveJohnSteele reviewed v1.1.1369.0 Beta on Feb 24, 2011
It seems that others have rated this low simply because they didnt understand what the software does or how it does it.
The software looks for all programs that run during the boot and desktop startup.
It then offers what to do with each program - stay In Boot, Pause or Delay.
Soluto doesnt yet recognize all programs, it needs to recognize a program so that it can give an accurate recommendation to the user.
For the user that found things not working after installing Soluto, may I suggest that you either Pause/d or Delay/d programs which you shouldnt have, put them back In Boot and all will be as it was before.
My boot up before Soluto took 3,45 it now takes 1.35 - so Im very happy.

While great concept, execution plain sucks. For example, I have application that I do not wan to run at startup. Main purpose of Soluto is to block it from doing so. But my application was updated two weeks ago. Now Soluto refuses this action because it can only block old version of application. By the time Soluto is capable to block this version of application, application updated again. And the endless loop of suck continues.

Soluto no install-o
Just hangs at various places when trying to reinstall it.
have no idea what the program does, besides nothing, on my computer

Good program, does what it is supposed to do, a bit slow.
Sadly I couldn't make my windows to boot faster, Cos I had only couple of small useless software to disable.
Artem S. Tashkinov reviewed v1.1.1096.0 Beta on Nov 2, 2010
Autoruns by Mark Russinovich is a better way to solve this problem.
Mind that you shouldn't disable Windows and Microsoft entries, unless you want to render your PC unusable.
