Adobe Shockwave Player lets you enjoy multimedia games, learning applications, and product demonstrations on the Web using exciting new 3D technology.

Outdated.
Seriously bundling this with some other stuff?
Shockwave is a very big opportunity for gnash because it has stopped evolving.

I give it a "2-star" rating because they try to bundle in a toolbar. (I don't care which toolbar, if users want a toolbar they should get it as a stand-alone program. I've got users with 7 toolbars because they all came with something else.) But then I have to lower that to "1 star" because the toolbar screen ignores the '/S' silent install option. When you have to manage thousands of systems, you depend on silent, or 'unattended' installs for all the labs, and re-imaging tasks. If the silent option fails, then you have thousands of computers waiting for somebody to come deal with them. Adobe is very consistent in thier low-quality installers. Every Adobe product, regardless of how good the actual program is, has an installer that is made like crap. If those same programmers worked for me, I'd fire them. The only 'major' software company that makes worse installers is Apple. (Lots of crappy software makers out there, but of the major players, I hate seeing updates from Adobe or Apple because I know they are going to cause problems.) I can update the full 20+ DVD suite of AutoCad products for our engineering college and not have a single problem. But one little Shockwave update, can break the entire campus. Hmmmm. Maybe a "1 star" is too high? The first thing Adobe needs to do is quit trying to bundle other stuff with the installers. We don't need to have Google Toolbars or McAfee virus scanners, or anything else added on. If your product isn't good enough to stand alone, then maybe you should rethink its release at all...

Updated yesterday & installed & runs without problems.

This works for me though it broke the 3D hardware acceleration with youtube videos, this worked with 10.1 flash player no problem. Might be due to my old AMD 4850 10.5 CCC drivers also :/
Reviewing 11.5.7.609 (May 12, 2010)
One star, because you can do without this piece of software for the 99.9% of the sites, and one day you find out that you need it to browse a single site.
