Dirkey is a small utility application for bookmarking and opening often used folders on your local system or network using hotkeys or a few mouse clicks. It offers some unique features like: opening bookmarked folders in the current Open/Save File dialog and other windows, assigning hotkeys to bookmarks (e.g. Use Ctrl+1 to open one of your favorite folders in the current dialog) and opening bookmarked folders in a new Explorer window or other custom file manager. You can view and sort bookmarks in a variety of ways and you can apply a filter to the list of bookmarks. It is highly flexible and customizable. You can disable features that you do not use and change many options for the features that you do use.
Note: Dirkey NTXP is a dedicated Unicode version of Dirkey for Windows NT4 (SP3+), 2000 and XP. Regular Dirkey will run on Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP but only supports ANSI path names.

Reviewing 2.0 RC2a (Apr 2, 2003)
This is a great, unobtrusive program that you'll find hard to get along without once you've gotten used to having it. I've tried most, if not all, of the other dialog helpers and this one is superior.

I still prefer Dialog Box Assistant (http://fileforum.betanew...ail.php3?fid=1018047779), it integrates into Windows better and is more intuitive imo.. If Microsoft is going to incorporate any of the three mentioned programs, I would be in favor of DBA.

...hum...What is great is that it is free...I hope it will stay free...Because this program is a copy of:
Metaproduct Autodialogs.
And i prefer Autodialogs.

I grab any new version of this app when I see it. Just keeps getting better and better. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't stolen this idea to put in their next version of windows. Give them time, I suppose...
Reviewing 2.0 Beta 1 (Dec 31, 2002)
