I was going to give Dooble a check in run since it's been near a year since I last tried it out. I was hoping that they made a lot of progress over this past year, but it seems there's a problem with downloading it. The SourceForge information says it's a 52 meg download, but for the life of me, regardless of what mirror I use, I get a corrupt download file ranging from 2 megs to 16 megs.

If anyone has a good download of this please post a link here for us.

To Asaenz ... to be fair, there is an uninstaller. To find it, you must drill down to Program Files and then Dooble, itself. You will find it there.

This browser is not yet ready to use, though it does show promise. At present, for example, there is no bookmark or favorite system and no way to set a "home" page. These basic flaws must be corrected before the browser can be used ... and the uninstaller must be made easier to find.

Did not behave well and "be warned" that there was absolutely no uninstaller so backup before or set a system restore point on a reliable system if you want to test it. I would not give a favorable recommendation of this program to anyone.

It seems that this is not YET ready for prime time. I find no way to customize it, to add my own "home" page, or to find "bookmarks" or "favorites". So I shall not use it st this time. But I'll watch it's development. It has some security features that are good, that I want.

So I've placed this in the discussion area rather than rating it. For now, I'd give it a 2 (out of 5). But I expect in the future it might be worth a 5. I'll give it the time it needs to improve.

Added comment: After writing the above, I decided to remove Dooble 0.05 from my computer ... I simply had no need for it. I opened the Control Panel on my Vista machine, then Programs and Features, and looked for the Dooble entry. It was not there! I then went to the All Programs Menu, found the Dooble folder, and opened it. There was no uninstaller there! I then ran an inquiry through the Google Search Engine ""dooble uninstall". I found nothing useful. Finally, I drilled down to Program Files and then the Dooble Web 'Browser folder and found Uninstaller.exe. Executing it, I removed Dooble from my computer (hopefully all of it).

This was a bad experience for me. I hope the guys that have put this together are a bit more careful not to release it again until they have a browser that actually works and is not a pain in the rear to uninstall. If I were to rate the bowser now, i would rate it a 1, but I shall not do that. Time, this browser needs more time to be ready. It is not now!!!!

Good luck and good programing, guys and gals.
