Nighted, you got it backwards. The new owners got RID of the adware and junk, they didn't add any. The previous owners were the ones that put that in there. Pay attention.

Rather than going off and talking about some philosophical argument about paid vs free like some people here, I actually TRIED the software.
It's reliable and it does a great job on large segmented downloads (segments from several servers too). I'd like to see a more comprehensive approach download scheduler. Good software.
This came with no adware at all so I don't really know what some others are talking about.

This new version (5.0) is now maintained by the same authors of GetRight. No more spywares and other trash from the previous versions. It's all new. This is a great new version!

GoZilla was awesome....was. Then some company took over and totally f@#$ed it up with adware and bloated features. Ah, the memories....
Now there are soooo many free alternatives.

Like another recent reviewer, I used Go!Zilla in much earlier days. It's become truly awful software. It's now bloated, has a cluttered mess of an interface, and includes Radiate brand spyware, which seems to be among the worst of its kind. With so many alternatives freely available, it shouldn't even be considered.

Gozilla is and always has been a great piece of software. If the spyware aspect is all that is stopping you using it then id suggest tracking down Ad-Aware which will find and, if necessary, kill any spyware/adware on your PC including all the radiate stuff.
As far as i can tell the spyware is the only downside to an otherwise pretty cool piece of software.

Do *** NOT *** use this program.
It can and will CRASH the Windows 2000 /SP1 OS, which is d@^n near to impossible to do. I have used Win2k for about a year. Even the BETA versions of Win2k *NEVER* had the BSOD. Go!Zilla 3.9 and 3.91 have caused it to happen TWICE.
I have lost my list over 500 files and almost 200MB of downloads.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sux! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, previous version of 3.5 was not much better but it never crashed my machine in Windows 98 or NT4 and could usually be depended upon to complete downloads without corrupting files.

3.5 is superior to Getright but 3.9* is just doesn't make the grade. Surely it wouldn't have killed them to put a few controls on the new interfaces??? For god's sake lose that stupid zipzilla!!! The only reason I'm giving this a 1 is because a lower grade isn't available.

I downloaded and istalled it over Go!Zilla 3.5 ... I used it for half an hour ... and then uninstalled it and reinstalled 3.5 ... Is there anything else to be said?

DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM!! IT STILL HAS BUGS IN IT.
STICK WITH GOZILLA 3.5...

I think Getright is better and the last version 4.2c to make possible not install de "Advertising control" from Aureate if you are a registered user. But Go!Zilla is a Adware and the price is exactly to accept the Aureate monitor. You can decide!

I love 3.5 of Go!Zilla (bah about SpyWare, even ICQ sends adds now) but 3.9.0.4 is hella buggy. It crashes quite a bit, spawns multiple copies of itself, doesn't stay integrated with IE 5.5 correctly. Wait for the next release.
Oh I do like the new look on the downloader and the zip program, but I wish it were consistent with the main interface, takes away from the effect.

And anyway... SPYWARE, well, couldn't be just everything spyware today? Ever imagined that IE could forward everything to MS? Or ICQ? Or Gamespy? Or or or... so, we shouldn't care about that anymore...

This program is not ready for prime time. I love Go!zilla, but this version is not yet have the stability needed to make it even remotely reliable.

This program is THE BEST!!! i seriously recommend this program. Ive tried dowload accelerator, massdownloader, and gozilla, and gozilla is the best. not just improvement in speed, but also has many features. for example... it can continue downloading files AUTOMAITICALLY when disconnected(this feature is not present in download accerator and massdownloader.) you can schedule specific times to download a targetted file... it has an automatic disconnection/shutdown feature, and more...i think :P it can continue files even when disconected(this is a standard feature, so it is present in massdownloader and dl accerator.) the automatic reconnection feature is very usefull because uhm... for example..... i can download large files overnight w/out worrying of disconnection. ANYWAYS this program is highly reccomended.. 5+

You don't "open" them. You copy these to your windows/system directory, then under your waveset manager you add them to the list of wavesets. You can even copy them to a different dir. if you want, but the default for my PCI 128 was windows/system. If you look in one of the pci128 newsgroups, I posted more detailed info about it.
