PerfectDisk redefines enterprise disk defragmentation addressing an issue that Microsoft, in various published artices, states is often the cause of poor system performance on a system. Provides the most comprehensive solution for defragmentation by optimizing virtually every file on the system, including the Master File Table ($MFT), all metadata, paging files, and directories. Patented SMART Placement technology arranges files on a disk to ensure that free space is consolidated and the future rate of fragmentation is minimized.

"Probably" or "Maybe" >> Useless words when trying to describe PerfectDisk. This IS the finest defragger built - period!

I like it too. I like the very good built in dupe finder. It's a tad slower than the other one, but this does a better job over all, and installs easily.

I consider PD Pro to be the best defragmenter available.

Not the best defragger overall... Sure, unless you look at whether the product in question can actually do its job. If you want a defragger stuck in 1999 (e.g. JustKiddingDefrag), by all means, go for it.

This version of PerfectDisk (and I'm talking about the major version, that being 10) is a significant improvement over its predecessor in how it handles automatic defragging. The prior version sometimes would never run at all; this version can adjust itself automatically. And of course, unlike JustKiddingDefrag, it supports the features that were added to Windows after 1999, as well as locked files and NTFS metadata.

What I don't like is the slow interface and the fact that you can't stop a running schedule all at once.
