@incisor You're comparing this to heidisql? Did you even compare the feature lists? Are you a complete n00b? This has 10 times the power of heidisql. There is NO comparison.

Nice, but in comparison to www.heidisql.com (open source) i can only give it a 4. @evergre: the original mysqlfront (by ansgar becker) was open source, the author sold the NAME, the new owner sold a similar tool under the name mysqlfront and did crap, the original open source mysqlfront returned with the name heidisql....

Yes they do have a free open source version, with minimal nagging, only a splash screen ad and an status bar link to buy the premium version, however the one they're linking to is not that. They're linking to the trial of the enterprise version, which is a pretty cheap trick for them to pull. It does a lot of things in an unconventional way, which isn't necessarily bad, but requires a little getting used to. For example it automatically groups the constraints in a sublist beneath each table, which is kinda nice, but very unconventional. Every other program I've used, Oracle, MySQL GUI tools, and SQLite Browser, all group them as part of the information schema. It seems significantly better than last time I tried it, however I'm perfectly happy with the official MySQL GUI tools, especially considering they have all the features that you only get with this in the premium version. I'd give it a four overall, but bump it down to a three cause of their trickery, linking to the trial download and saying it's freeware.
