normishmael--It DOES have a tray icon, as a matter of fact. The icon only appears when you use the REAL-TIME component, which is for paying users. I can see you really know your way around the program.
As for knowing what the cause of my machine "biting the dust" is, well it's pretty clear, since it happened (1) The instant I performed an action with the program, and (2) the name of the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware driver was listed right in the BSOD text!

what the hell are you talking about?
this program does not have a tray icon!
Just the open window tabs.
I am toggling these from restore, move, size, minimize, maximize and close,
with no problem.
Just because your machine bites the dust while a certain program is installed or active, does not mean its the cause.
My machine is the most skittish, nurosis ridden,
tempermental twit to ever escape from CastleGates, but it has no problem with this one.

Want a BSOD? Start a scan and then right click the tray icon and exit the application. Fun stuff! Does ANYONE test software these days?

Used this on many machines to clean as many as 7 different variants of Vudno. Worked like a charm. This alone speaks volumes about this program, considering that Vundo is such a pain to remove.
Malwarebytes shines where all other AVs and antimalware apps fail.
