Fantastic piece of software. Doesn't hog resources, runs quietly in the background without interrupting you.

When tested against other antivirus software, this routinely comes out bottom of the barrel for detection rates, leak tests, you name it. What more can I say?

I have only given it a 3 because MS isn't there yet on its security software but give them time and it will be the best. The one problem, among many, is that it doesn't update everyday and in a security software you need this. But in time Ms will get the message and CR88y comanies like Norton will go out of business except for Apple users who can only use this software and they might as well use nothing because Norton gives you no protection.

I'm giving this a minimum because of 2 important reasons: 1. Microsoft making money from anti-virus/anti-malware software hardly gives them motivation to release a safe and secure OS in the first place now does it? It's like a car manufacturer selling you a car with no locks on the doors then after you've purchased they say you can also purchase locks at 30% of the price you already paid for the car. Ever get the feeling the salesman is laughing at you? Well here he is. 2. When tested against other anti-virus packages it routinely comes out as the worst. Avoid this garbage.
