Running win7/64 and MB does not see my Iphone4. Tried rebooting...no joy. Media Monkey sees it, so does Itunes...Have ck mark for Iphone in setup...Wonder why no joy?? Pgm looks neat, well laid out and logical..Like it.

Well, I have tried them' all ... I used songbird for a while. Like the features and look, but thought it was patchy. Then I found MusicBee! Ten times more features, everything you could wish for really, and more. Works flawlessly and sounds great. If all software could be that well developed ... Bravo to the developer(s) and keep up with with the fantastic work!

fantastic manager player, they did something most players managers fail to do gave us the best of both worlds
Reviewing 1.2.4037 Beta (Jan 23, 2011)
This is one, if not the best music manager I've ever used. Written by one guy in his spare time, he is open to suggestions, takes them onboard and does whatever he can to add them to future builds.
It has great lyrics support, superb artwork downlloading ability, great tag editing.. and Most importantly, sounds wonderful. Uses the BASS engine from xmplay fame, but sounds wonderful.
There are almost daily updates to the beta, that are very easy to install (open zip file, copy files into folder)
Although I still have to have iTunes installed in order to access my iPod, it does mean I don't have to actually use run iTunes.
Everyone has their favourite music manager/player, this is mine.

MusicBee edges ever closer to perfection, and subsequently, world domination.
Reviewing 1.2.4037 Beta (Jan 20, 2011)
I used for a long time Winamp, then Songbird. But now I'll probably won't give up MusicBee for anything else. It's everything that I would ever want, but if you can come up with something that it misses, just kindly ask on the forum, it will be done :)

Reviewing 1.2.3873 Beta (Sep 10, 2010)
I have used this on my work PC for the last week, and I have to say that I am quite impressed. It probably wont be your be all, end all of media management. But it runs pretty smooth, and is quite customizable.
Reviewing 1.2.3873 Beta (Aug 9, 2010)
- New WASAPI (exclusive mode) support for Vista, Win7
This, for me, was the one thing missing that prevented me from using it full-time. Now that it has arrived, I'm happy as can be.
Reviewing 1.2.3783 Beta (May 12, 2010)
Crashes as soon as it tries to load as it cannot create a library
Reviewing 1.2.3705 Beta (Feb 22, 2010)
It changes a lot, had tested the 1.1 version, I liked, but I too unstable for everyday use, this version has improved greatly, just use the pc for the resources that have not yet brings support for other languages and skins, which is planned pro future But version is already stable enough to use daily. It is worth noting, that has a download .dll separate site to play aac.

would love to see a find my dam album art cover button other then that it ok
Reviewing 1.1 RC1 (Oct 27, 2009)
superb software. I think one of the best music managers out there - Works flawlessly with my ipod touch (1st gen os 3) is very very fast at tagging, finding artwork and lyrics
It's got some UI quirks that I think will be worked out as it develops.
The devloper is VERY active with posting updates and responding to bugs, faults and enhanements.
The ONLY criticism I have, is that it takes a while to load (part of that is because it's looking my myipod, but even without that it's quite slow - about as slow as firefox is to start)
and it uses a lot of RAM, but again, that's being worked on I'm sure.
overall, very nice indeed
Reviewing 1.1.3509 Beta (Aug 22, 2009)
Fantastic Software; I really like that I can read the lyrics to the music while listening to the songs. Thank you for a great music organizer and rip/archiving program.
Reviewing 1.1.3509 Beta (Aug 10, 2009)
v3509 doesn't seem to copy properly to my 1st gen ipod touch... seems to copy file names but not whole file.
But previously mentioned bug fixed. overall stability much improved. Excellent
Reviewing 1.1.3494 Beta (Jul 29, 2009)
a very nice app, like iTunes, MediaMonkey etc but IMO easier to use and a little bette. Big PLUS for ipod touch syncing.
If only it was more stable and didn't crash every 5 seconds.
Autotag = crash
artwork search = crash
write artwork to folder = crash
apart from the flakiness and constant crashing, A superb little app

Actually using beta 0.3.3368 (download from forums here http://getmusicbee.com/f...?topic=99.msg502#msg502).
Considering how short of time this has been under development and how long I have personally used Winamp and extensively tried out all sorts of other players, I am already using this to replace Winamp. The developer is very active and open to suggestions and quick to squash bugs. This is a very promising music player and manager.
Reviewing 0.2.3346 RC1 (Mar 2, 2009)
With each new release of this product my decision to remove Win Amp from my machine is easier and easier.
I have noticed one issue though:
Shoutcast stations that worked before aren't working now.
Thinking that the stations went off the air I checked using Win Amp and those same stations worked just fine.
Maybe it was just my timing.
Anyway, a great program! Keep it up!

from MusicBee forum :
"some guy on betanews http://fileforum.betanew...l/MusicBee/1232891666/1 was speculating that i will charge for this product. This is to state clearly that i have no intention to do so - this software is provided because I enjoy doing it.

and now timbuctoo, can you tell how relevant are your few other points
- No option to disable the splash screen
- Every skin change requires a restart
???
Reviewing 0.2.3323 Beta (Feb 8, 2009)
A good program, but a few points to ponder.
- No option to disable the splash screen
- Every skin change requires a restart
- Doesn't seem like the author is going to keep this free
Reviewing 0.2.3319 Beta (Feb 2, 2009)
Very, very promising! Do not be shy to even go right to dotNET 3.5. It is a great environment, with great visual capabilities.
Reviewing 0.2.3314 Beta (Jan 31, 2009)
Extremely clean fast interface, and a TON of features. This is the best application out there for music organization/collection next to Mediamonkey, and I believe as soon as the new features are added to it, it's going to be superior. Definitely one to keep an eye on!
