Reviewing 3.0.0.49051 Beta 2 (Jun 28, 2009)
Awful software. I installed this under Mac OS X 10.5.7 on my Mac Mini (Early 2009) computer. When I tried to use 64-bit Windows 7 RC Build 7100 the Windows Experience Index test couldn't be completed because for some strange reason Windows couldn't measure Windows Media Playback. This effectively prevents Aero Glass from ever running. Hopefully the next beta will fix this. In the mean time I'll have to check out Parallels.

After the hours of recovery time I spent starting over from scrtatch with new VMs (after 3.0 berta one essentially destroyed them) I think I'll wait for the final release. That beta was more like an alpha as far as I'm concerned.
Otherwise, I've been very happy with the final versons of VirtualBox for the past few years. They continue to get better.
Reviewing 3.0.0.48728 Beta 1 (Jun 17, 2009)
3.0.0 looks good so far me on XP SP3 32 bit. None of the glaring problems of the 2.2 betas. More news later
