On paper, this app looks great, but in practice it's not so good. It may be because I was running IETester in a VirtualBox install of Windows XP within Ubuntu Linux, but once I pick a version of IE to use, it crashes.
If this program would just not crash, it would be incredibly useful for me and many people at my place of work.

Great app, it does clean out all the nasty files sitting in your temp directories, which eat up space and sometimes harbor spam and malware- but they need to clean their own crap, why include the Yahoo toolbar in the set up? Honestly. I've been using this app for several years and it does the trick.
0.9.4.4 Beta (Dec 30, 2004)
I was browsing betanews and found this app and just had to try it out. It was VERY easy to set up, worked quite well (50ns ping to friends) and didn't give me many problems. For some reason the second time connecting it wouldn't connect to the servers, but upon a reboot it worked fine. If you want to easily share files, play LAN games or do general networking type stuff with your friends, this is the app to do it.

Here's the question: Is this 7600 build the same build floating around the net, or have they made changes since then?

Oh yes, yes, yes! Please give them incentives to roll out FIOS all over the USA. I would _kill_ a busload of nuns in cold blood for FIOS. I've got Comcast now, which is plenty fast, but not 20Mb fast.
With any luck Obama will do good on his promise to push us into the future of broadband, or maybe the present, most other developed countries seem to have incredible internet access. How else can you explain all of the MMO addicts in asia?

Do you work for Microsoft? Are you in the Vista ad campaign... because that's the only way I can see you writing what you've wrote. Windows XP is quite solid, if your copies are slowing down day by day, maybe you should stop downloading porn, adopt spyware cleaning practices and keep your software up to date.
Windows Vista is a lot of bloat with very few improvements, I'm sure you love your Windows Mail and spending s*** tons of money on new hardware, when you've got an updated, usable OS that runs on "old" hardware (you know, 6 months old) and doesn't need a 3d card to run the latest UI. Vista does _NOT_ do "it all" by any distortion of the truth--
and no one here is bashing Vista without using it, nor are they angry because they have an out dated computer.. you're a short sighted Windows fanboy with very little understanding under your belt- but flying the "Vista rocks" flag just ain't going to cut it without some more backing.
I'm excited that there are still devs at Microsoft who understand that WinXP is still a viable solution for a lot of people and has plenty of life left in it.

Does anyone actually believe this? How much do you want to bet if you went to a graveyard in Redmond you'd find a bunch of names of people who bought Vista.
I've played with Vista for months and many of the UI enhancements are very nice and I've been attracted to a few of the features.. but largely the IT world is unimpressed with Windows Vista. It's working out pretty well in the Business world, that may be where they're getting their numbers. The gamer and hard core gamer segment is miffed due to terrible support from ATI & Nvidia.
Is this hype? Probably. Are people excited about Vista? A little.
