This DVD5 ISO image file contains the security updates for Windows released on Windows Update on November 10th, 2009. The image does not contain security updates for other Microsoft products. This DVD5 ISO image is intended for administrators that need to download multiple individual language versions of each security update and that do not use an automated solution such as Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). You can use this ISO image to download multiple updates in all languages at the same time.
Reviewing August 2009 (Aug 11, 2009)
I tried the last one (for xp). Of the 200+MB file all it had was a less than 2mb update. Better off with simply using windows update via ie which is more all inclusive to your own setup.

This is a really useful thing to have especially if you install windows on several computers. My home has 4 computers and this saved me a lot of time when I upgraded to Vista. (which by the way works flawlessly. SP1 is a major improvement, even though transfers over network is still slow).
Reviewing February 2008 (Feb 20, 2008)
As mentioned this is not intended for home users. This is just a collection of all the "latest" updates in every language for system administrators and such. There's no reason for the average person to download this. For it's intended purpose it's fine, but I'm really not sure why it's posted on Betanews.
Reviewing May 2007 (May 9, 2007)
hmmm, how do you rate this? I rate it as 5 for the intended purpose, 0 for the normal user. The benefit for the normal user is nil, its not what its intended for. Going by the reviews here people misunderstand the intentions of this image. Its really only beneficial to system administrators, especially those that have to deal machines that have different languages on them.

wingo,
I the autopatcher hotfixes with the nlite hotfix integration thing... most of them do integrate well... If you are having trouble selecting all the hotfixes. use winrar to package them all in a rar/zip and extract without restoring folder info, so they're all in one folder. This makes it easy to to mass select hotfixes in nlite.
