8.0 "Helena" (Apr 1, 2010)
I installed Mint 8 on a thumbdrive and thought I'd give it a test drive and was impressed. Much nicer than 6.0
I'm not a Linux geek, and this is pretty straight forward, an easy install.
Every piece of hardware was recognized for the most part (I can't get wireless to work but there are work arounds for that I'm sure...I did say I was a n00b right?)
I'd recommend this to noobs like my self, as well as anyone as a matter of fact.
Having problems with Firefox remembering passwords for some reason not sure as to why.
Edit: It was in private browsing by default, which explains the password problem.
Have no probs giving it a 5 and looking forward to the next release.
5.0.11733.9347 Beta (May 26, 2009)
I'm not a big fan of Google Earth anymore. One being the Googleupdater.exe that can't be disabled. I'll just stick with http://www.flashearth.com/ serves my needs and photos in my area are at least updated recently.
2007.build.23 (Jan 20, 2008)
Like others are saying very suspicious..when it tries to phone home I deny it, and seems to run for me ok but trying to get the new update from their page is not possible for me. Something is blocking me from getting it, must be for the good, which is too bad as it's the only program I know of that is free and converts so many formats.
1.66 Build 624 (Jan 20, 2007)
Awesome, only diagnostic tool I need, and it's...free, what more can be said? Nothing
1.66 Build 624 (Jan 25, 2010 - 3:39 PM)
Thanks for the heads up. I guess my main gripe is that I have to switch out using 3rd party addons to use many sites.
Another question I'm hoping someone can answer is regarding Yahoo Mail, RoboForm is the only option for saving passwords that I've seen so far as FF won't save PWs to Yahoo mail, are there any other free PW managers that work with Yahoo? I only use the basic Roboform and am looking for a free alternative that does the same. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Sorry to interrupt the bashing/name calling so this may be off topic.
I'd LOVE nothing more than to use FF exclusively! But certain sites like NFL.com and many others simply won't let you view some of their content unless you (atleast) open the page up in an IE tab, which really pisses me off. I hate being forced to use a browser I cannot stand, but it looks like I have no choice. (just ranting)
1.66 Build 624 (Feb 8, 2008 - 1:31 AM)
Yeah...this would be the part where I would say screw you big guy! You won't see a cent from me, as I'll just buy as always...used
