    3.0.298 (May 20, 2011)

Why not just stop the programs/services from starting unless you need them? On my desktop, I have 36 process that run when it is started and it is running W7 Pro 64 bit, my other W7 Pro 64 bit laptop has 26. It takes less that 20 seconds for my desktop to boot and about the same for my laptop!

  2. Review - Spybot - Search & Destroy (Beta)

    2.0.3 Beta 1 (May 13, 2011)

I love Spybot, but V2 is ugly, and is just as bad as the spyware it is supposed to remove. It locks up and is damn hard to get rid of. I will stick with 1.6.2.
Unless the UI changes to something worth looking at and they make some major changes ( am I sure they will get the bugs worked out ) I will not be donating anymore or even downloading v2.

    It's just toooooooo damned ugly!

  3. Review - Microsoft Games for Windows

    3.5.50.0 (May 5, 2011)

MS needs to get out of the games! They **** up everything they touch and they have done NOTHING helpful or good for the gaming community! Hell look at the crap they have for the retarded xbox 360!

They can't even get Silverlight to work correctly, or update, and you want someone to trust it for anything more than Netflix?

Vista and 7 activations are hacked faster and easier that that of XP, and it lasts longer if you do add just the one update. I have a few friends that are using pirated copies of 7. I told one just yesterday to go out a buy a damned copy, they are cheap. His reply was, that it has worked for over a year, and he sees no reason to buy, when he gets it for free and it works just as well.

XP, with SP3, was great, but 7 is a million times better, IMO! Over two years now, and haven't had to format once. XP, on the other hand, had to be formatted at least once a year.

Win XP sucks when it came to font management. If you loaded 300 more fonts it took forever to load Anything let a lone boot. Anyone that wanted to do any kind of designing, had lots of problems with the font management.

  10. Comment - AVG Premium Security 2011: New features could offer more

    1.9.0 (Aug 2, 2011 - 4:25 PM)

If they could just make it work, then they would be great, but from every thing that I have ever read and from personal experiences, it sucks and has a low detection rating! Maybe they corrected that in this version, but from their track record, I highly doubt it! From what I have seen, and believe, AVG is nothing more than a joke, as all other free AV's - and paid - are millions of times better! From the programs they have released up until this one, as I have not tested it, they are the worst av company known to man, in my honest opinion!
