  1. Review - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    1.20 (Jul 8, 2008)

@Undesired Username: If you do experience a BSOD, just send your minidump file to their support.
They are very responsive to possible problems and a fix will follow shortly after.
A previous version produced a BSOD when performing a scan, which was fixed pretty quick when it was reported.
As for the icon it does show when you're using the paid version. (= realtime protection & automatic updates)
I'm not saying it's a perfect program, but they're doing their best. Also most spyware warriors are recommending it today, instead of the previous AVG AS, which does tell us something about the quality of this software.
Problems can always arise with protection software, but I applaud them for their swift response to those concerns.
I say well done & keep up this excellent work. :-)

  2. Review - SnagIt for Windows

    9.0.0 (Jun 10, 2008)

Still the best on the market and the new version got even better. Multiple screenshots can be taken. Tagging & organizing all those screenshots is very handy.
Too much to sum it all up, so it's up to you to try it out and find out what it has to offer.
    Well done TechSmith. :-)

    1.7.1.2 (Apr 6, 2008)

Superb tool, worth the money they ask.
Or you can use the lite version (= free).
Bought mine with the lifetime license, so I don't have to worry about searching for another. LOL
Tried a lot of them and finally settled on this one. Haven't regretted that decision yet.
Download the trial or the free version, so you can discover what it has to offer.
Too much to sum it all up. :-)

  4. Review - Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Beta)

    7.0.0.43 Beta (Apr 18, 2007)

@ahjefri - KAV/KIS hasn't been a resource hog since a long time. Version 5 did use more resources, but then again it was a lot less then Norton and it ran well on my system. Version 6 uses less resources then NOD32 on my system and works really well.

It could be this beta is a resource hog, but then again it's stil a beta, so those bugs will get fixed before release.

Instead of promoting NOD32, which is a fine antivirus, you'll better test this one out before posting such false reviews.
Jetico is great too and version 2 is still in beta. Unfortunately this firewall isn't recommended for a newbee. You do need to know what you're doing.

Use whatever YOU like, but don't attack other vendors.
For the rest KAV/KIS are my favourite antivirus/suite which will improve even more with every new build.

Keep up the good work Kaspersky Lab.

  5. Review - Opera (32-bit) for Windows

    9.10 Build 8649 RC1 (Nov 16, 2006)

    Is Alexa spyware?

You may keep it, I don't want those here.
Opera is one of the safest browsers around, so it doesn't need this junk. :-/
